What Are Amplified Weapons?

This makes Weapon Amplification feel closer to rebuilding a familiar weapon into a different version rather than simply making the same gun stronger.

Burletta: Can be modified into a fully automatic weapon.
Renegade: Can receive a scope for a different combat setup.
Rattler: Can gain incendiary ammunition and a much larger magazine.

How Weapon Amplification Works
The system is connected to the new Outpost and its Research Workstation. Raiders will need to build and fully upgrade the Research Workstation before gaining access to the Amplified Weapons system.
Once the workstation reaches the required level, eligible weapons can be developed through their amplification paths. Research and rare materials are part of this progression, so upgrading weapons will require more preparation than simply spending standard weapon resources.
The branching design is particularly important. Instead of every player using an identical upgraded version of a weapon, different modules can push the same gun toward different functions.
For example, a player who prefers close-range fights may value a completely different amplification path from someone who wants a weapon suited to longer engagements.
Why the New System Matters

The Research Workstation also changes how players can approach ARC Raiders Blueprints. Research gives Raiders another way to work toward certain weapons and items instead of depending entirely on random blueprint discoveries.
That makes research valuable even outside Weapon Amplification. Players can gradually develop their equipment options while continuing to explore the Rust Belt and the new areas introduced with Frozen Trail.
